Livonia timing attack
Fereron232 made a Livonian revolt build for malta before the DLC got released. After the DLC released, I tested it and realised he made a booming build whereas I wanted a good timing attack build. So here I am with a timing attack build. This build order need a good wood or coin treasure in base, as well as a TP.
Game plan
After a greedy age 2, revolt to livonia as soon as you reach age 3 and convert your order hussars and hospitalers unit into powerful killing machines.
Age I :
Do the TP+market opening. It is very complex, but quite needed to get the most out of your age 2. Collect the grates, herd with one settler. Build the market first, then mine 125c to buy 100w for the TP, then keep mining until you get 50c in the bank. Shift all but the herding villager to wood, and get enough wood to research hunting dogs at the market and build a house.
You can now start breathing. Put all your settlers on food and age up with the quartermaster.
In transition put one settler in queue and shift all but one settler to wood. Gather enough wood to ship german tongue. Then keep gathering wood for a house. Then, all the settlers back to food again.
Age II :
Ship 700w as soon as you can. Use the wood from the age up to queue one settler wagon, research placer mines and steel traps. Use the 700w to make more settler wagons, a hospital and some houses. Feel free to adapt the build order if you spot agression. Your 4th shipment will be wignacourt construction. Try to get to age 3 as soon as it is safe to do so without shipping 700c. Age up with the sergeant at arms (4 hospitalers).
In transition you will train order hussars and hospitalers. Hussars are IMO the better unit as we plan to convert them into a unit that synergises very well with your burgher militia from Livonia. If you get a shipment in transition, save it. You want to send 2 shipments almost back to back in age 3/revolt.
Age III :
Ship 1000w as soon as possible and start macroing for Livonia (750f/750w/750c). The wood will come from the shipment; focus only on the food and coin.
Once the crates have arrived revolt to Livonia. If you are being pushed as you complete age up, delay and distract with the order hussars. The best outcome for you is to have the enemy army in your base as you click on the revolt button. This will maximise the impact of your burgher militias.
Revolt !
Keep training hussars/hospitalers ! Push with the burgher militia. While you push, secure a coin mine with the fort, and the militia will distract while it is going up. You want to ship "Sword Brothers" as soon as possible. This card will convert your order hussars and hospitalers into death machines. After the conversion, push. Use the teutonic knights to scare light cavalry away from your knight brothers.
Follow-up :
Unlike other revolts, you are not expected to end the game with the initial push as Livonia. Burgher militias are expendable units and do not have meaningful siege. The real power spike comes from the conversion of your hospitalers into teutonic knights and hussars into knight brothers. While "value-wise" you do not get much, in terms of raw stats it is an enormous gain. What happens after the power spike depends on you :
- More economy ? Ship Kontors
- You want more siege ? Ship Baltic crusade
- Your enemy has a big mass of musketeers ? Ship the cranequiniers
- Your knight brothers are being kited by dragoons ? Ship the order crossbows
