6 Forts Texas Meme Build
Mexicans
Meme turtle build for when you queue up Mexico but decide you want to play USA instead.
Goal of the build is to have 6 forts producing units for free by revolting to Texas.
The first part of the build is essentially the Central America FI but you build two forts in Central America before returning to Mexico
Age I
Standard TP opener (*build TP asap have 6 villagers chopping wood until you can make a house, then put everyone on food, herd hunts under TC for safety)
Ship 2vills > church > cheaper revolts
For treasures aim to take as many as possible because you will need every resource
Age at 15 with Michoacan
During transition
- queue 3 villagers
- macro towards a Central America revolt (have around 7-8 vills on wood, 3-4 on coin, the remaining on food).
- if you can, build a market and research hunting dogs, gang saw, placer mines (it will allow you to reach Texas about 2 minutes faster)
It's ok to gather more wood and coin than you need, we will need it to build the first two forts.
Age II
Immediately collect xp crates and ship Presidios, build a barracks with the military wagon.
MAKE SURE Presidios is at least 3/4ths progress to shipping before clicking the revolt or else you will revolt before the card ships and lose it
After you have enough to revolt put most of your vills on wood and coin. You are most vulnerable before the first fort goes up so we want to build it ASAP.
Central America
Ship church > 700 wood
Build two forts with your explorer immediately. Because of Presidios they now cost only 360 wood and 300 gold. You'll want to position all of your forts close together.
Macro vills to collect 1000 food, 300 wood, and 1000 coin, gather the wood crates and return to Mexico.
During transition
- gather 500 coin and research the fast age up tech from the church (it won't make your return to Mexico faster but it will give you more XP which you desperately need to get the setup going)
- gather 500 wood and 500 food (for factory card)
- if you have extra resources build a few houses
Age IV
Set your starting hacienda to produce villagers
Ship both Factories and both Forts (the order depends on how pressured you are. If you sense aggression ship the forts first. If opponent is greeding ship Factories)
Put factories on coin and upgrade them
Macro 800 of each resource and after your forts and factories arrive revolt to Texas.
If you have extra resources:
- research faster infantry training from the church
- research increased building and unit LOS from the church
- Fort upgrades
- build Soldados
Texas
DELETE YOUR STARTING TC (yes you read that right)
the reason is because you want to plant the inspiring flag near the forts to boost their production rates
Put your factories on heavy cannons
Ship 2 Forts. You should now have 6 forts total that are all producing units for free.
If you are still alive at this point:
- Your opponent will most likely have a bigger army than you initially, so scouting and playing defensive until you can match them is usually best.
- If you see Mortars or any artillery ship 4 Culverins
- Your settlers become skirms and are very vulnerable to heavy cav when you first revolt so putting forts on regulars and carbine cavalry early is a good idea.
- Since you don't have villagers you can field a much bigger army than your opponent given enough time.
- Liberation March and Imperial upgrades are some of the more important cards to ship in Texas
- Your hacienda can slowly make villagers and you have villager shipment cards from Central America and Texas if you want to try and revive your economy
- The Alamo allows your buildings to spawn militiamen when destroyed. The number is based on the cost of the building. (A single wall segment will spawn 1, a fort will spawn 15). A possible strategy is to inch forward with layers of walls since they are very cost effective.
